I had first heard about APB: Reloaded on a Sims forum called, modthesims.info; I was looking for sims that were more in the terms of punk or gothic. There I stumbled upon those characters who were modeled after APB:R NPC bosses who would give you missions and extra perks when you'd pledge to them. (No hazing required.) At times it was like the cyberpunk, retro-scene game that I've always wanted, even though at times. It was hardly considered cyberpunk. Now, as I stumbled upon it, I had to look at videos of it. I became enthralled and was quickly disappointed when I found out that their developer, Real Time Worlds, went out of business. I probably spent a couple hundred minutes searching information about the game. Hoping that one day, it gets picked up by a company and gets published again. Hell! I even tried to download the games old files, and play in an empty server that's considered null because, there was no server connection.
Anyways, after looking over the information I had complied I found out that a new company, Gamersfirst, had picked up the pieces of the game and was starting out on Beta version of the game. I was thrilled beyond belief but it took several months of waiting to just play it! I did play the beta, but once I stepped (or clicked rather,) into that long awaited game world. I could not just wait to start playing, but then. The moment of truth happened my laptop couldn't handle the game. I didn't cry, but I was damn near close to. I was just fustrated beyond belief.
I ended up downloading the game client over my cousins house and playing it for hours. Which was hard since he hogged the computer all the time. however.
Up until recently, [11/12/2013] I have been really confused and horrifed with the changes in the game. I mean I honestly, really, really love changes. Changes help and improve but currently... It's a bit dull.
